What is the registered agent requirement?
Every business must designate a registered agent—a person or company with a physical address in your state of formation who can accept legal and government documents on your behalf.
For example, if someone were to sue your business, a court officer would come to your registered agent's adress to "serve" you. A business needs the same physical address in case legal proceedings are initiated against the business and for a physicall address for government and IRS notices.
